The Order Tracking System was developed for Carl Advertising,Mumbai. The firm offers advertising services in different fields like Campaign Planning, Creation of Logos, Model Photography, TV commercials, Vacancy Ads, Business Stationery and a whole lot of other services.

There are three levels of users. They are the Admin., Accounts Executive and the User. Each of them has a unique Login Id and Password. The Homepage allows all the three kinds of end-users to log in. Each end user has access to a set of features.

This application allows the new users to register themselves online. The users are registered temporarily. A confirmation mail is then sent to the newly registered customer . The Application also facilitates retrieval of a forgotten password.

ADMIN has access to Transactions, User Management, Masters, Reports and Logout.

Accounts Executive has access to Diary Entry, Payments Receipts Entry, Jobs To Do Reports, Pending Payments Reports, Payment Receipts Reports, and Logout.

User has access to Order, Complaints, FAQ, Change Password, Personal Information and Logout.

The key feature in this Application is that the user is put at ease. His burden of running around the advertising agencies is reduced. He can place an order online and also keep a track of its status online. This facilitates effective usage of time and also convenience.

The Admin keeps a check of all the transactions, gives feedback on the complaints given by the customers, assigns the customers to the Accounts Executive , creates Master Data and various other tasks which help the Order Tracking System to be more and more informative to the End Users.

The Accounts Executive keeps a check on the financial aspects, keeps a record of the payments received, payments pending, maintains a database of the customers and generates dairy.

A three-tier architecture under the Web Technologies has been used to develop the Order Tracking System. This structure comprises of the Operating system, Business Logic & the Database. The operating system is Windows NT. The Database used in this application is MS-SQL Server. The Business logic comprises of VB components.
